Test footage from the film project I am currently working on with experimental film artist, Shona Masarin. In 2005, I met Bill Irwin – who has since become a very dear part of my artistic life and journey. Bill is electric – his wit, humor, pathos, ability to shapeshift, create illusion are sheer magic! Our dancing dialogue has since led me to research a variety of movement forms that explore transformation, including eccentric dance, voguing, and mime.
"Ghost lines" is a movement practice that uses an archival impulse to conjure a vaudevillian past.
As a project, it manifests in a variety of ways – through film, live art happenings, live performance, as photos, drawings, and an ongoing freestyle movement practice.
